Base pay range $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr We are seeking a Junior Project Engineer with direct experience in automotive systems, safety technologies, and component development . In this role, you will research, analyze, and assess the efficacy of automotive safety systems and technologies , contributing to advancements in vehicle safety and performance. You will also support technical evaluations and communicate findings effectively to both engineering and non-engineering professionals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research and technical assessments of automotive safety systems and technologies, including occupant restraints, braking systems, fuel systems, powertrains, chassis, suspension, lighting, and visibility. Evaluate engineering and design aspects of automotive components to determine their effectiveness and impact on safety and performance. Analyze test procedures and industry standards related to automotive safety. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to convey research findings to stakeholders, including engineers, regulatory bodies, and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project development and execution. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience or coursework in automotive safety, design, testing, or component development . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess the efficacy of automotive technologies. Proficiency in technical writing and the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences. Familiarity with automotive test procedures, industry regulations, and safety standards is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in areas such as occupant restraint systems, brake design, tire technology, powertrain development, chassis engineering, or vehicle testing . Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, crashworthiness, or regulatory compliance . Prior experience with engineering tools, simulation software, or testing protocols .
