Job Description

A nonprofit organization in the Bronx, New York is seeking a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their collaborative team on a temporary to permanent basis. A hybrid schedule is offered after the initial onboarding and training period. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a mission that provides housing support to New Yorker's!

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings on various job boards and social media platforms.
  • Screen resumes and interview prospective applicants to identify qualified candidates (focus on Residential Aides)
  • Works directly with the TA Manager in recruitment support
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status updates.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and feedback.
  • Assist in the preparation of recruitment materials and presentations.
  • Support the HR team with onboarding new hires and conducting orientation sessions.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or internship is a plus, but not required.

  • Basic understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
