Lead Fertility
Registered Nurse
to join our growing team in
Los Angeles, CA . This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 6:45am - 2:45pm, occasional weekends and holidays. Job Purpose:
The Lead Nurse is an REI Nurse that directs patient care and related activities according to RMA's policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. This is a responsible position that must work with minimal supervision. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
Provides overall leadership to ensure all office personnel (1) have a clear sense of their role, (2) know the results expected, (3) understand and accomplish what is required to achieve the team's goals and objectives, (4) know how well the team is performing, and (5) are motivated to achieve and continuously improve results
Assesses quality of patient care rendered and make recommendations for improvement to Lead Physician and/or Nurse Manager; Ensures nurses have no obstacles in completing patient checklists by GND
Reviews scheduled patient appointments and creates weekly nursing assignments
Ensures patients are distributed as evenly as possible amongst the staff
Monitors active patient nursing assignments
Communicates with Nurse Manager/Physician Lead if NP/RP numbers consistently exceed benchmark
Collaborates with department managers to ensure the office is staffed to support high quality patient care
Attends meetings and continuing education lectures regularly; Works collaboratively with Nurse Manager and Department of Education to provide support and facilitate compliance with Nursing policies and procedures
Along with Physician Lead, conducts office meetings on a regular basis; elevates issues to Nurse Manager when appropriate.
Works collaboratively with Director of Clinical Operations to maintain compliance with OSHA, QA, and Risk Management programs; Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns by regularly assessing environmental, operational, and occupational conditions
Ensures cooperation at the satellite office level with internal and external auditors; responds to findings with corrective action in a timely manner
Supervisor Responsibilities (if applicable):
Participate in the recruitment, selection, retention, training and supervision of office personnel to ensure the delivery of the highest quality patient care; to maximize profits and minimize turnover
Ensure expected results are achieved and sustained by coaching, counseling, and when necessary, disciplining employees
Conduct staff performance evaluations
Ensure team members have the necessary training for proper performance and development
Organization of people (timetable/shifts/holidays) to ensure that the activity is carried out properly
Ensure tasks are properly carried out
Transmit the Company's policies (health and safety, labor legislation, training, etc.) to ensure compliance.
Academic Training:
• Active RN license without limitations - required
o Studies level: License
o Studies area: Nursing
• BSN Degree-highly preferred
o Studies level: University Education (Bachelor's Degree)
o Studies area: Nursing
• BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification - preferred
o Studies level: Certification
o Studies area: BCLS/ACLS
Position Requirements/Experience:
2+ years' experience in reproductive medicine
Previous Team Lead or Supervisor experience - preferred
Knowledge and experience in implementing all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations relative to a physician practice
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office proficiency
Excel and PowerPoint skills - preferred
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
