Position Summary: We are looking for our next employee-owner to join our Competitive Buildings Group in New Castle, DE. Successful individuals in this role are creative, customer-focused, and have fantastic negotiation skills. This candidate will work closely with our customers to design, specify, and quote customized lighting solutions. Position Responsibilities: Analyzes and defines the market for lighting and controls products. Negotiates and quotes pricing for their own projects. Follows up with customers, securing the job and keeping track of the job status. Travels with company sales representatives and manufacturers, promoting value-added services and introducing new lighting and controls products. Conducts training sessions for customers and participates in trade shows/seminars. Communicates internally, customer issues and manufacturing concerns. Keeps current on new products and services, ensuring to inform employees and customers as necessary. Performs Lighting audits and provides ROI reporting. Creates CAD layouts and foot candle lighting renderings Designs lighting control systems via Bluebeam, CAD, or various manufacturer software. Reads and understands electrical specifications on projects to adhere to the correct control standards when designing a system. Analyzes currently specified controls package to understand what system is being utilized and how to design a comparable alternate system. Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies. Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility. Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed. Performs other duties as obvious or assigned . Support all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies for all employees within your branch. Qualifications: 1-2 years lighting/electrical industry experience. Knowledge of lighting products, applications, and systems. Great aptitude to work with customers. Photo metrics software experience; AGI 32 preferred. Basic understanding of quality controls. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to read blueprints and electrical specifications. 65% travel required. High School Diploma required.
