About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 196-day locum tenens assignment providing telehealth services for an Urgent Care facility. Starting on 05/26/2025, this opportunity offers flexible 5-8 hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, with full-time availability required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting telemedicine visits via Facetime, assessing patient needs, prescribing medications, and managing oxygen requirements remotely. This role focuses on Clinic Care Management (CCM), with telehealth visits typically lasting 10-15 minutes. The PA will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients calling from their homes, including consultations and home care management.

Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 5-8 hours per day, full-time availability required

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct telehealth visits via Facetime with patients

• Assess patient needs and symptoms remotely

• Prescribe medications as necessary

• Manage oxygen requirements for patients at home

• Provide consultations and home care management

• Utilize eClinicalWorks electronic health record system for documentation

• Participate in Clinic Care Management (CCM) programs

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Adhere to all telemedicine policies and procedures

• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

• Stay updated on the latest telemedicine practices and technologies

• Adapt to various clinical scenarios in a remote care setting

Additional Information:

• Arizona, Florida, New Jersey, or New York state PA license required

• Experience in telemedicine and urgent care preferred

• Proficiency in eClinicalWorks EHR system beneficial

• Possibility of assignment extension
