We provide you with a new-model luxury SUV for every shift and handle all fuel, maintenance, and insurance costs so you can focus on driving! Plus, our top-of-the-line in-vehicle technology keeps you safe behind the wheel. Day in the life: Come to the Alto Operations center at the start of your shift to see the team and pick up your SUV for the day Hit the road and complete trips on the Uber platform Return your vehicle at the end of the shift - our onsite team handles fueling, cleaning, and maintenance! Earn an hourly wage, with additional peak-demand earning opportunities, and keep 100% of the tips you earn while driving. Pay Hourly rates vary by time of day and range from $17.50 to $22.25 Peak-demand times (ex: Friday & Saturday evenings) offer the highest hourly rates. Earn pay raises with tenure Get paid on your terms: receive weekly pay through direct deposit or choose On-Demand Pay to get paid as often as daily. Schedule Shifts: 6 to 8 hours long Full-Time or Part Time Opportunities: Full-Time: Scheduled 4-5 days per week Part-Time: Scheduled 2-3 days per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on your availability Benefits No wear & tear on your car: Enjoy the use of a luxury SUV during your shift. No out-of-pocket expenses: Alto covers all the expenses expenses, including fuel, insurance, cleaning, and maintenance. Qualifications and Requirements Must be eligible to drive on the Uber platform: Must be 25 years of age or older. Valid California issued Driver's License with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience in the United States Must pass a pre-employment background check and saliva drug screen. A clean driving record: No more than 2 moving violations/at-fault accidents in the last 3 years. No driver's license suspensions within the past 3 years. No existing suspensions from the Uber platform Successful completion of the Alto Driver Training Program is required Fluent in English. Physical Requirements Able to communicate verbally and follow directions from our dispatch team. Comfortable with navigational apps (e.g., Uber driver app, Google Maps, Emails, Web Browsing). Capable of entering and exiting the vehicle consistently to assist customers with their luggage. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
