Job Description

Foster Lawson are exclusively partnered with an expanding organisation in the Food space, who are looking to add a Maintenance Manager to their team in Franklin County, PA.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the food industry, as well as experience managing a maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that all production equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and minimizing downtime.
  • Oversee and participate in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other technical issues with production machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with food safety, environmental, and health regulations, including proper sanitation procedures and documentation.
  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality maintenance work.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, ensuring that critical parts are always in stock and minimizing downtime due to material shortages.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints while maintaining equipment reliability.
  • Plan maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime while maximizing equipment uptime and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and equipment upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Lead the response to urgent maintenance requests, ensuring that critical equipment repairs are carried out swiftly to reduce production interruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and compliance checks, and generate reports for upper management as required.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the food production industry
  • 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience
