Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Brooklyn.
Responsibilities include:
- Possess working knowledge of all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and associated systems and equipment.
- Capable of following manufacturers' assembly sketches, drawings, and simple blueprints.
- Operate chillers, absorbers, Co-Gen systems.
- Knowledge of boiler operations and troubleshooting.
- Perform plumbing work: valves, traps, etc.
- Conduct water testing and chemical treatments.
- Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, fans, etc.
- Maintain and adjust heating and cooling systems and controls.
- Maintain and repair sterilizers like San I Pak machines.
- Repair rolling equipment: beds, stretchers, crash carts, etc.
- Electrical wiring knowledge; capable of replacing parts.
- Maintain and repair fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Install and repair hardware on doors, windows, lockers, and other equipment.
- Maintain and repair car washes, dishwashers, kettles, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience. Must have working knowledge in operation and maintenance of all equipment components in the power plant. Excellent skills across all trades.
Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
