Job Description

Summary/Objective

The position of Maintenance Tech for the Facility reports to the Facilities Manager. The job will be to perform minor repairs to the facility, small tool repair, minor fabrication, Coordinate supplies and replacement parts and assist in the subassembly operation. 

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance Checks on equipment and facility.
  • Maintain required records
• Maintain needed inventory of facility supplies (filters, Bulbs Etc.)
• Repair various small tools (Rivet Guns, Drills, etc.)
• Perform equipment lubrication
• Perform building repair projects
• Plan and select materials needed to complete a job
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• Order required maintenance supplies
• Build various subassemblies (Tanks, Stands Etc.)
• Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements and Competencies

1. Obtain and maintain Lift truck (Standup, Sit-down, Scissor lift)
2. Follow all PPE and Safety requirements in facility.
3. Must be able to climb and operate at heights
4. Work on small tool repairs
5. Must be able to read tape measure, micrometer, calipers
6. Perform minor wiring repairs and projects
   1. Must have lock out tag out training
   2. Must be able to use multi meters, voltmeter
   3. Will work with 120 volt
7. Assist with facility related projects as required
8. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
9. Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
10. Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
11. Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
12. Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
13. Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including lift trucks, saws, drills, and small hand tools
14. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
15. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
16. Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
17. Participate on teams as required
