Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled individual to operate manual and CNC machining equipment. In this role, you will:

• Make program edits on CNC machines.
• Ensure components meet precise dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Contribute to safety and efficiency improvements.
• Complete associated paperwork accurately.

This is a 1st Shift Position in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and operate manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Edit CNC programs directly at the machine.
• Machine components to meet print specifications.
• Measure parts accurately using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Drive improvements in safety and efficiency.
• Complete all required training and paperwork.
• Work across multiple machines and processes.
• Provide guidance to junior team members as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• A commitment to a zero-accident safety culture.
• Strong math skills, including basic trigonometry.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of G-code and/or conversational programming.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with cast materials and machining stainless alloys.
• Basic rigging knowledge and use of overhead cranes.
• Understanding of turning and milling insert geometries.
• Familiarity with cut conditions, feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.

Working Conditions

• First shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM.
• Second shift: Monday to Friday, 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM.
• Overtime as required (36-hour notice for required overtime).
