Medical Device Production Technician

Location: Irvine, California

Description

• This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices mostly in a clean room environment.
• The role includes the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production of medical devices using a microscope, and the operation of various equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.
• Following manufacturing instructions and updating relevant job documentation accurately for traceability.
• Product packing and sterilization preparation.
• Product inspection using a microscope.
• Ensuring activities comply with GMPs.
• Setting up coating machines, coating, inspecting, and folding balloon catheters.
• Preparing excipient formulations and spray coating formulations.
• Testing formulations.
• Packaging sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
• Identifying supplies that need replenishment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in the medical device industry (2 to 3 years).
• Proficiency in English (medium level).
• Comfort working with chemicals.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer software packages.
• Ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing supervisors and management.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Work Environment

• Work is mostly performed in a cleanroom environment.
• Positions require a lot of standing. The dress code includes cleanroom attire, and candidates must be familiar with gowning and de-gowning processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
