Job title: Music director/Accompanist.
Location: Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, LA.
Job Type: Part-time.

• Associate’s degree in music or a related field with two years of experience in managing religious musical programs in a church setting or three years of specialized experience in managing religious music programs.
• Two years in a music-related field.
• Instrumental (keyboard) and vocal music skills suitable for secondary education settings, including the ability to recommend and lead musical selections for worship.
• Have the ability to read music, play worship/praise music on a piano, and direct other musicians and vocalists in four-part musical scores.
• Provide leadership, direction, and administration for the Catholic and Protestant musical program.

• Lead musical direction for both Protestant and Roman Catholic worship services.
• Accompaniment for the rendition of music is required during worship services. This will include prelude music, calls to worship, congregational singing, offertories, postludes, and other music as required by the respective chaplain CRMP.
• Assist with planning and requests for musical equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate and consult with the officiating chaplain or CRMP concerning the selection of all choral selections, choruses, hymns, and other music utilized in the worship service.
• Piano accompaniment for Sunday Protestant Service.
• Piano accompaniment for Sunday Catholic Worship Service.
