Non - Emergency Medical Transportation Driver
Salary Range
$25k -30k
Job Summary
This position is open for immediate hire!
Angels On Wheels Transportation has expanded to Moore Co. in N.C. and are in need of drivers.
Canidates for this position will drive a company provided automobile either standard van or handicap accessible vans to transport individuals to various types of medical appointments.
General Accountabilities
Must be compassionate, patient and respectful of patient's needs.
Must be a safe driver with a valid NCDL, no accidents in last 3 years
Must not have any felonies, abuse of children, elderly or disabled persons
Must be able to past a criminal background check
Must be able to pass a drug screen test
Listens to and resolves customer complaints.
Must be able to use GPS/ navigation, and dispatch system provided with company phone
Must be able to park company vehicle at residence
Must be available during the hours of 5am- 6pm daily, some weekend hours may be required

Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, 21 yrs or older
Experience: Patient care experience helpful. Knowledge of working with the elderly is a plus! Ability to utilize handicap accessible vehicles daily. Many of the population served will have assisted devices ie.. wheelchair, cane, walker, and will need assistance loading the vehicles requiring DTD service.
Ability to maintain a company vehicle, keep up maintenance, cleanliness of the vehicle, and report any issues or needs for repair to management immediately.
Skills
Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs. Transport driver, CPR/FA, CNA. Excellent verbal and written communication/ Time management
Work Environment: On the road daily
The position is located in the Moore Co. area of N.C. potential candidates must reside in one of Moore Co. townships for consideration.
This position is great for retires that want to stay busy or someone on a pension looking to make extra money while providing a great service to individuals in the community.
