We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Online Nursing Instructor specializing in Medical Surgery to join our team. As an Online Nursing Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to nursing students in an online learning environment. Your primary focus will be on medical surgery, imparting knowledge, skills, and best practices to ensure students are well-prepared for their careers as medical-surgical nurses. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong clinical experience, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities:
  1. 1. Develop and deliver engaging online lectures, presentations, and course materials on medical-surgical nursing topics.
  2. 2. Facilitate interactive online discussions, case studies, and simulations to enhance student learning and critical thinking skills.
  3. Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments, assessments, and discussions to facilitate their growth and development.
  4. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and active participation.
  5. Stay updated with the latest developments in medical-surgical nursing practice and incorporate evidence-based practices into instructional content.
  6. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop, review, and revise curriculum content to meet program requirements and industry standards.
  7. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  8. Provide guidance and support to students regarding their academic and career goals, helping them navigate the nursing profession effectively.
Qualifications:
  1. Current and active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the relevant jurisdiction.
  2. A Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is required. A doctoral degree (Ph.D., DNP, or equivalent) is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing.
  4. Prior experience in teaching or instructing nursing students in an online setting is highly desirable.
  5. Strong knowledge and expertise in medical-surgical nursing, including relevant theories, practices, and current trends.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts in an online learning environment.
  7. Proficiency in using online learning management systems (LMS), video conferencing tools, and other educational technologies.
  8. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students, foster critical thinking, and facilitate meaningful discussions.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple courses and student inquiries effectively.
  10. Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ethical conduct in teaching and interacting with students.
