Join Lonza AG as an Operational Technology Engineer in Greenwood, SC, collaborating with global teams.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and support of both legacy and future OT systems, including Real Time Location System (RTLS), RFID systems, Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) fleet, and more.
  • Act as plant liaison, collaborating optimally with global MES and IT infrastructure groups to ensure flawless operations.
  • Design, plan, and coordinate all activities from conception through the entire lifecycle of OT systems.
  • Develop and implement guidelines for troubleshooting 24/7 operational systems.
  • Ensure compliance with site, local, state, and federal guidelines, prioritizing safety for colleagues, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Develop specifications for new or modified systems and support interface development.
  • Participate in testing, GMP validation, and the generation of training documents.

Key requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT application development, business systems analysis, and support experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with SQL and demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Proven track record to make sound business decisions under time constraints in a multifaceted work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across various functions.
  • Extensive knowledge in data importing for reporting software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
  • Familiarity with IT platforms including VMware and exposure to common integration tools and transactions.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and in a diverse workforce.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (<10%).
