Reports to: VP of Operations

Type of Position: Full Time Non-exempt

General Description: Do you love working with people and making a difference in their healthcare journey? Were looking for an outgoing, friendly, and professional Patient Care Coordinator Medical Assistant to join our team!

As the first point of contact, youll set the tone for each patients experiencewelcoming them, managing appointments, and helping them feel comfortable and cared for. Youll also play a key role in supporting their treatment needs by coordinating care and assisting our providers.

Work Experience and Skills Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in patient coordination role.
• Tech-savvy with EMR systems and general computer skills
• Ability to be resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
• Decision making, problem solving and creative thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task activities and to adapt with shifting priorities/circumstances.
• A great personality outgoing, compassionate, and professional.
• Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
• Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a patient and be able to address their needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet patients when they enter the facility.
• Help patients complete any necessary paperwork.
• Assisting with phone calls to help patients schedule appointments, answering questions, and triaging patient requests.
• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• Participate in departmental meetings.
• Ensure the front lobby and reception areas are well maintained and stocked with supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure we are providing optimal patient care.
• Support the care team with basic medical assistant duties (vitals, rooming patients, preparing exam rooms)
