These roles are in Auburn Hills and Southfield and requires the Drivers to be flexible as there will tests that ran in the late afternoons and weekends as needed. The drivers must be flexible with working in Southfield and Auburn Hills. The Performance Driver will operate pre-production, production test vehicles on public road and test track Responsible for driving customer pre-production / production / vehicles (test vehicles) on test track or on approved highways or interstates. Responsible for driving test vehicles while maintaining attention to the road and surroundings. Responsible to operate test vehicles in a professional, non-aggressive manner while adhering to the local laws of the jurisdiction you are operating in. Must maintain safety and security procedures. Operate test vehicles in inclement weather. Execute use cases to collect data on public roads or test track. Execute vehicle inspections and any other records for test vehicle during assigned shift. Maintain 5S in test vehicle. Create test vehicle incident report. Responsible for maintaining vehicle fuel needs. Coordinate with fleet management to maintain operating condition of test vehicles Requirements 5 years of licensed driving, no major traffic citation, accidents or suspensions for the past three years. No alcohol related violations on driving record. Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, must be able to pass internal drivers training program to appropriate level, read maps, use GPS devices, lift at least 50 pounds. Tier 2 Driver Certificate (Preferred) Trailer tow experience, chauffeur or CDL license a plus. Background in some type of motorsports (Preferred) Have a basic understanding of vehicle mechanics. Able to adapt to flexible schedule to support some weekends and evening testing.
