Job Title: Pharmacy Tech/Indexing Order Referral Specialist

Location: Jupiter, FL 33458

Duration: 6+ Months Contract to Hire

Work Schedule : Onsite

Job Summary:

The Indexing Order Referral Specialist is responsible for processing and managing medical orders/scripts, ensuring accurate data entry into the system, and coordinating with physician offices to resolve any discrepancies. This role requires medical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and experience with Epic or similar EHR systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, label, and process incoming medical orders/scripts in the system.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing (within 15 minutes of receipt).
• Coordinate with physician offices to resolve missing or incomplete orders.
• Monitor system workflows and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.

Requirements :

• 1+ years of experience in hospital/medical order processing or scheduling.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, STAR, or similar EHR systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology & insurance verification.
• Excellent communication & attention to detail.
• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
