Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced retail environment on a 13-week contract. This role offers immediate start once cleared and provides an excellent opportunity to put your pharmacy knowledge to work in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Position Details

• Type: Temp/Contract

• Duration: 13 Weeks

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

• Location: Clearwater, FL

• Start Date: ASAP or once cleared

Responsibilities

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately.

• Manage insurance adjudications and resolve claim rejections.

• Prepare, package, and label medications for verification.

• Perform data entry, maintain prescription records, and handle patient/provider communication.

• Support inventory management through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration checks.

• Assist with returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures.

• Cross-train and support multiple pharmacy functions.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• National certification and active Florida Pharmacy Technician license required.

• 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience.

• Strong Microsoft Office and data entry skills.

• Comfortable handling phone calls and multitasking in a busy setting.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
