This position reports onsite.

Summary: The individual will work closely with the Physical Security Officer to sustain a risk-based security program focusing on physical security and across other related Business areas. Will monitor and test compliance with Company security policies and applicable laws such as Bank Protection Act. Coordinate investigation and reporting of security incidents. Assist with security policy development and maintenance and the design of security policy education, training, and awareness activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands and complies with requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to the position
  • Sustains physical security procedures and processes for all of the Company locations, plans for reducing or eliminating premises liability issues, and site analysis and threat assessment documentation
  • Assists in corporate investigative practices and standards and helps investigate all suspected internal and external criminal violations, suspicious incidents, and policy violations that may become security issues
  • Establishes and maintains satisfactory liaison with law enforcement officers in the geographical areas where the Company is located and maintains files for emergency services agencies
  • Maintains branch security of all clear signals, combinations, alarms, and key control, robbery investigations, suspicious branch activity, and security guard requests
  • Works with security vendors to ensure the functionality of alarm systems and camera functionality
  • Coordinates with technology and business groups such as Informational Security, Business Continuity, Facilities, and Information Technology
  • Follows physical security monitoring program

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in banking, preferably in physical security
  • Prior experience working with third-party security vendors and contractors

Skills

  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to physical security.
  • Experience conducting physical security assessments, penetration testing, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level security systems integration and management.
  • Proficiency in incident management software and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Communication skills necessary to write and describe complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls effectively
