The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS is seeking a full-time Physician - Nephrologist , board certified or board eligible, to join our expanding clinical practice. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring Americas Veterans.

Candidate must possess MD/DO from an accredited institution, have completed residency training to board certification, and possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State or territory.

Additional requirements:

• Function as the expert for patient care related to acute, chronic, and end-stage kidney disease, fluid, electrolyte and acid-base disorders.
• Develop treatment plans, including but not limited to dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy).
• Rounding on hospitalized patients, attending in clinics, writing of prescription medications, writing for consultative services, diet instruction, and other physician-driven or exclusive decisions.
• Provide evaluations and treatment recommendations, including acute dialysis orders, for hospitalized patient.

Highlights of this opportunity:

• Potential starting base salary range: $250,000-$400,000
• Daily schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30 pm (off tour call)
• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5 days paid for CME)
• No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
• Recruitment/Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): May Be Offered to Highly Qualified Candidate
