Commercial Plumber

A large public institution is seeking a skilled Commercial Plumber to join its facilities team. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across a diverse, multi-building campus environment. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with large-scale plumbing infrastructure, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and steam-related systems

• Respond to service requests and emergency calls in a timely and professional manner

• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently

• Inspect, test, and diagnose plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans

• Work collaboratively with maintenance staff, contractors, and other trades

• Adhere to safety codes, regulations, and institutional procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of commercial or institutional plumbing experience

• Current state-issued plumbing license

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with steam systems or large-scale utility infrastructure

• Familiarity with campus or institutional plumbing systems

• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
