JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the design, engineering, and implementation of process instrumentation and control systems from initial conception through commissioning.
Responsible for design and engineering that provide the most reliable and cost- effective instrument and control systems.
Provides consulting services to process engineers in developing process design specifications, develops operating and training manuals for mechanical and process personnel, and participates in training operating personnel.
Writes purchase and construction specifications and participates in Factory Acceptance Tests.
Specifies, procures, and configures Distributed Control Systems, and field hardware such as transmitters, control valves, and electronic transmission systems.
Instrumentation and controls capital projects engineering including front-end-loading, cost estimates, specifications and oversight of detailed design.
Identifying areas where instrumentation/controls can improve plant operation and profitability

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor"s degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical engineering and 5 years experience in refining or chemicals industry as an Instrument engineer OR
Associate"s degree in instrumentation technology, electronics or a related field and 10 years experience in process instrumentation design and/or maintenance
5 years experience in refining or chemicals industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in use of SAP - PM & PS Modules
Proficient in project estimating and project engineering skills
Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Projects
