The Veterinary Behavior Center is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to support our growing business! You will help lead a team of inclusive and empathetic healthcare professionals who believe that we have a moral obligation to ensure that the animals under our influence are free of pain, distress, and fear, to the best of our ability. You will work with a management team dedicated to healthy team culture, innovative medicine, exceptional client service, a progressive and agile management style and commitment to best practices. Responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management: bookkeeping, end of day processing, accounts receivable, P&Ls, COGs, KPI tracking, program analysis, proformas, billing, budgetting, maintains the Chart of Accounts and more; safeguard the financial interest of the business in all decision making
  • Facilities and Resource Management: oversee the upkeep and repairs of building and property, coordinate with contractors/landlord, evaluates needs, technological troubleshooting
  • Operational Management: oversee day to day functioning of the clinic functioning, mastery and troubleshooting of all software platforms, identifying and project management around workflow alterations, clinical schedule management, SOP development and maintenance, program management, event planning and execution, 
  • Regulatory, Liability and Safety Oversight: ensure OSHA and DEA standards met, protocol development, insurance maintenance and auditing
  • People Management: hiring and firing along with the Practice Owner, manage onboarding & offboarding, employee file maintenance, participation in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions; benefits administration, payroll processing; ensure compliance with all HR laws; help resolve issues with unsatisfied clients; lead the practice culture efforts
  • Inventory & Pharmacy Management: price comparing, ordering, price setting, inventory tracking, develop and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Marketing: participate in marketing in person, virtual and written materials; website maintenance
  • Team Support: ability to cross train in multiple positions so can provide back up support to the team

Prior Experience:

  • Three years of practice management in a veterinary clinic preferred, fewer years or alternative management experience considered
  • CVPM or CVPM eligible candidate preferred
  • Some experience working with animals preferred
  • Restraint and phlebotomy experience preferred

Full time preferred, part time considered. Flexible start date.
