About the Role:
Seeking experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for semiconductors and innovation. Hiring a Principal to lead NPI (New Product Introduction) efforts in collaboration with top-tier semiconductor fabs and OEMs. You’ll be the technical bridge between our global operations, customers, and partners—driving advanced product development and engineering excellence.
What You’ll Do:
🔹 Own and lead NPI engineering projects from concept through production
🔹 Manage cross-functional collaboration across internal factories, OEMs, AVL suppliers, and customers
🔹 Design and review complex mechanical components (valves, showerheads, ESC, ceramics, gas boxes, SiC parts, VMBs, etc.)
🔹 Drive manufacturability and cost-optimization improvements
🔹 Perform 2D/3D mechanical design and simulation (Creo, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, etc.)
🔹 Conduct on-site customer support: installation, measurement, rework, fit/form/function analysis
🔹 Act as a hands-on contributor and/or team leader (based on experience)
🔹 Support business development efforts as needed
What You Bring:
✅ MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, or Coating Engineering
✅ 10+ years in semiconductor equipment/fab industry
✅ 5+ years mechanical design experience (GD&T, form-fit-function)
✅ Hands-on familiarity with Class 100/1000 cleanrooms
✅ Strong knowledge in design and production of heaters, ESC, valves, ceramics, gas cabinets, VMBs, etc.
✅ Fluent in Mandarin (required for Asia-based communication)
✅ Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%
✅ CAD/FEA/CFD expertise: Creo ProE, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, etc.
✅ Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and project management abilities
Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have):
🔸 Background with companies like AMAT, Lam Research, Intel, Micron, TSMC, UCT, Ichor, NGK, etc.
🔸 Business development experience
🔸 Leadership in engineering teams
