Job Description

Job Description

Radiant, a fast-growing small business specializing in digital services for public sector clients, is looking for a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team supporting a Federal client.

Type : Full-Time

Location : Remote or Hybrid if local to DMV area

Experience: 8+ years in IT project management

Clearance: Must be able to pass a Public Trust background check (a federal suitability check)

Role summary

You will plan and drive IT projects from start to finish. You will lead day-to-day delivery with a cross-functional team. You will keep scope, schedule, risks, and decisions clear. You will also be the steady point of contact for the client. This role fits someone who can see the big picture, then zoom in when details matter.

What you will do

  • Run client meetings. Set agendas. Capture decisions and next steps.
  • Build and maintain the project plan. Track dates, owners, and dependencies.
  • Lead delivery using Agile methods. (Agile means short cycles, frequent check-ins, and quick feedback.)
  • Guide a Scrum team. (Scrum is a common Agile method with planning, daily check-ins, and reviews.)
  • Manage the full project life cycle: start-up, planning, execution, tracking, and delivery.
  • Keep risks and issues visible. Log them early. Drive actions to resolve them.
  • Coordinate across teams (engineering, cloud, security, and operations).
  • Provide clear weekly status updates to the client and leadership.
  • Help the team follow Radiant’s documented delivery process. (We align to CMMI Level 3 , which means we use repeatable, written practices.)

What we are looking for

  • 8+ years managing IT projects with delivery teams.
  • Strong experience leading work in Agile environments.
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). This is Agile at a larger program level.
  • Comfort working with cloud systems, especially AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • PMP required (Project Management Professional certification).
  • A Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Clear communication. You can explain status and risks in plain language.
  • Strong problem-solving. You stay calm, find options, and move things forward.
  • Team leadership. You build trust and keep people aligned.

What success looks like in this role

  • The client knows what is happening, what is next, and what could block delivery.
  • The team has clear priorities and steady progress each cycle.
  • Risks are found early and handled before they become fires.
  • Deliverables ship on time, with solid quality and clean documentation.

Public Trust eligibility (required)

You must be able to meet federal Public Trust requirements. This role is open to:

  • U.S. citizens
  • U.S. permanent residents (green card)
  • Some visa holders (including H-1B) with at least 3 of the last 5 years living in the U.S.

Nice to have

  • SAFe certification
  • Experience delivering federal or public sector IT work
  • Experience working with cloud security and compliance teams

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Health insurance
  • 401(K) with employer contributions
  • Professional development support
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Work that matters for the public

How to Apply:

Interested and qualified candidates should submit their resumes to [email protected] within one month of this posting. Please include a cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and explaining why you are the ideal candidate for this Technical Project Manager position.

Radiant is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all team members can thrive.
