Roadway Construction, LLC is looking for an experienced Project Manager . Must have civil construction experience (drainage, sewer, water, grading, pavement, earthwork, etc.), read/understand plans and understand FDOT design & construction standards, including interpreting FDOT contract documents. We want to fill this position with someone who takes ownership of their projects, is comfortable making timely decisions, is great with maintaining client and subcontractor relationships, and can work as a team player. Must have the preciseness to upkeep the budget, quality and the timely completion of projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed and organized construction documents.
  • Create takeoffs, negotiate vendor pricing, review work orders, order materials & inspections.
  • Must ensure that submittals, shop drawings, and other construction documents are submitted in a timely manner and follow-up.
  • Manage the project scope and budget.
  • Plan and coordinate the resources required in each project in order to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure quality, conformance, schedule attainment and cost control are being met.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the work performed by subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation and effective relationships between all involved parties.
  • Manage and assist Superintendents as required.
  • Initiate positive actions to avoid and/or minimize project delays.
  • Review change order documentation and make proper recommendations.
  • Maintain project logbooks; Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings.
  • Follow company policies, safety, and procedures.
  • Perform related work as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferably have a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of 4-year experience as a Project Manager in the Roadway Construction, Underground Utility, and Earthwork Industry. Also, experience in FDOT projects is a must.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction principles and procedures.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks; Possess a meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong ability to anticipate, recognize and respond to adverse situations.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and Adobe.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred.
