Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PySpark Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and optimizing data processing pipelines using PySpark, with a strong focus on the banking domain. You will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Plano, TX is $95k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing solutions using PySpark.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize ETL processes and data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation techniques to ensure data integrity.
  • Work with large datasets in a distributed computing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and performance.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of data solutions within the banking domain.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in big data and banking analytics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, with a focus on big data technologies.
  • Strong experience in PySpark for data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop, Hive, and other big data technologies.
  • Proven experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data lake architectures is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
