Our Industrial Group Christiansburg Team is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join them. You will report to the General Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Christiansburg, Virginia.
Moog Industrial Group in Christiansburg, Virginia is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager. You will have primary responsibility for the site quality functions and plans. You will lead the site quality management systems, ISO 9001 compliance, serving as the face of quality to internal and external customers, supporting site quality and lean improvements, and reporting quality performance to site leadership.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will:
  • Lead the product and process quality responsibilities across the site. This comprises quality planning, contract compliance, nonconformance support and resolution, acceptance inspection and test setup and documentation, quality records, and root cause and preventative/corrective action.

  • Instill quality and lean principles driving efficient practices embracing six sigma methodologies, defect prevention, and cascading lessons learned across products and processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related area.
\n
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position (e.g., team lead, supervisor, manager).
\n
  • Demonstrated performance in quality compliance pertaining to contract, industry, and other regulatory flow downs.
\n
  • Proficiency in developing and applying an ISO 9001 quality management system, including internal audit.
\n
  • Demonstrated performance leading or as responsible authority for true root cause and preventative/corrective action assignments.
\n
  • Experience leading or having direct responsibility for supplier quality including supplier selection, quality systems validation, inspection planning, and defect analysis.
\n
  • Experience using analytical tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, 5 Why, or Fault Trees.
\n
  • Ability to access US export-controlled information.
\n
  • 5-10% travel, both domestic and international, may be required to suppliers and customers.
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spanish speaking ability is a plus
\n
  • Prior experience in a precision, high performance manufacturing environment, ideally in slip ring technology
\n
  • Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, Failure Analysis, and ISO9001
\n
  • Experience with data analytics
\n

Salary Range Transparency:
Christiansburg, VA $90,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
