Based in the San Diego area, we are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Quality Control Manager to join our dynamic team in the scientific industry. This role is integral to ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control, from raw material intake to final product release. They will also be tasked with implementing and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards throughout our operations. This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Quality Control department, ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards.
  • Implement and maintain GMP standards throughout all areas of production.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control protocols and procedures, and ensure they are followed accurately and consistently.
  • Lead and manage a team of quality control technicians, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality control processes are integrated throughout the company.
  • Investigate and address any issues or complaints related to quality.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in quality control and GMP standards in the scientific industry.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control role within the scientific industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing quality control protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using quality control software and other related technologies.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality.
