Job Summary

The Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Recreation & Activities manager plays a vital role within the resort property. This position is the guide and most visible role on property, and an ambassador for all guest Activity Experiences at the Resort. This position will be an expert on the resort geographical location, and will facilitate Resort Guest Activities, including Entertainment Dining Events, Beach and Pool, Sports, Ocean Sports, Nature/ Beach Tours, Kids Activities, Cultural/ Geographical Activities. This position will require an energetic, creative, talented individual with previous resort/ cruise ship experience, extraordinary, polished presentation skills, collaborative team spirit approach, and a strong passion for Guest Satisfaction.

Education & Experience

• Previous Tour/ Cruise or Recreation & Activity management experience required

• At least 2-5 years, with extensive experience programming guest activities for a large resort/ cruise operation.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

• CPR training required.

• Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.

• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English. This includes verbal and written communication.

• Strong background in delivering high-quality service with a cordial, friendly, and family-oriented approach to guest interactions.

• Computer literate.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended hours.

• The ability to work through long shifts.

• Ability to work effectively in a loud, crowded setting.

• Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, including heat, direct sunlight, rain, wind, and cold.

• Medium to high work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
