Description Qualifications:Must have clear understanding of refrigerant expansion with pressure temperature variablesMust be able to direct and train operatorsWorking knowledge of departmental PC'sMust perform as a Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) team memberHigh school or equivalent with 2-4 yearsMust pass operator certifications CARO and / or CIRO, or willing to become certified Must be able to read and use dial gauges, micrometers, etcin the alignment of motors, pumps, etc. experience in ammonia or Freon refrigeration, boiler operations, and compressed airOccasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppmAble to stand for several hoursWork may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assemblyResponsibilities:Maintains, repairs, rebuilds and adjusts ammonia refrigeration, and equipment in areas of responsibility by analyzing, calibrating, replacing, repairing or rebuilding all equipment and machinery within established guidelinesMust have all required personal tools and have the ability to learn to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipmentMust be able to work swingMust supply own hand tools necessary to operate system, perform preventive inspections and make repairsMust perform all tasks and repairs within the Company Safety Policies and procedures and be part of the PSM team, be FIT tested for a respiratorMust be able to walk a long distance in the performance of rounds and checks throughout the shift on the complete Ammonia SystemMust be able to safely isolate and pump down any section of all systemsMust be able to do line opening proceduresMust be qualified to receive or transfer ammonia in all plant systemsMust be qualified to do routine maintenance on : Ammonia compressorsTroubleshoot and repair Electrical Controls on the Refrigeration and Ammonia SystemsMaintain all engine rooms, compressor rooms and roof areas in a high state of cleanliness at all times EOE, including disability/vets.
