This is an Operations position responsible for managing the activities associated with refrigeration repair on industrial refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 3,000 HP, general maintenance and repair of the regional facility refrigeration systems, minor repair of electrical devices. Ensure assets (Refrigeration/HVAC/Electrical systems) are managed in accordance with IIAR, ASHRAE, ASME, EPA, OSHA and applicable State and Local Codes. The ideal candidate will have HVAC/R schooling, RETA Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certification, universal EPA, and at least six years' experience with service/maintenance of HVAC / R, and large ammonia refrigeration units. Responsibilities include performing inspections and preventive maintenance of refrigeration storage equipment, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining ammonia systems, logging work in CMMS, managing refrigeration, electrical, and HVAC systems, conducting audits, suggesting efficiency ideas, adhering to safety policies, assisting management with training and budgeting, participating in on-call programs, maintaining tools and inventory, and complying with OSHA and other regulations. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, six years of industrial HVAC/R experience, two years' experience with anhydrous ammonia, valid driver's license, various certifications including HAZWOPER 24 hrs Training, Incident Command System training, Universal EPA certification, RETA CIRO certification, and ability to obtain RETA CRES certification within 6 months. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 100 pounds and wear a respirator. Working conditions include exposure to extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
