Litigation Attorney (Contract, Remote)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Remote)
Compensation: $60 – $70 per hour
Schedule: Flexible, hours as needed
About the Role
Direct Counsel is representing a Los Angeles–based law firm who is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to support its practice on a remote, contract basis . The ideal candidate will have broad experience handling general litigation matters and be comfortable managing cases with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery
Conduct and defend depositions
Appear remotely for hearings, conferences, and other court proceedings
Perform legal research and draft supporting memoranda
Provide case strategy support and general litigation assistance as needed
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the California Bar
Strong background in defense litigation
Excellent drafting, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work independently on a contract basis with flexible hours
