Repair Technician

Job Description

As a Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers. Your responsibilities will include managing the warehouse and material movement, patching holes on cargo containers, and performing riveting tasks on cargo containers. You will ensure containers are delivered clean and free from defects, respond to technical assistance requests, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers.
• Patch holes and perform riveting tasks on cargo containers.
• Ensure containers are delivered clean and free from defects affecting operation or performance.
• Respond to technical assistance requests from customers.
• Monitor stock of spare parts.
• Maintain repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Assembly or repair experience.
• Structural repair skills, including sheet metal work.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• HVAC or construction experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Connection to aviation industry.
• Experience with Part 145 regulations is a plus.
• Prior military experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a repair facility located in San Juan, PR. You will work the first shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with approximately 5 hours of overtime per week. Our facility houses 8 employees and operates under FAA and DOT drug testing regulations. As a provider of cold chain shipping solutions, we focus on maintaining a professional environment that supports airlines, freight forwarders, and life sciences companies.
