The County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Department is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Sexual and Reproductive Health services at the Paso Robles clinic. This position is temporary and will be scheduled to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. This recruitment will remain open until filled and may be used to fill future permanent, substitute, limited term, and temporary positions, both full-time and part-time throughout the County. In addition to the minimum qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will be bilingual Spanish-speaking. Minimum Qualifications: Nurse Practitioner: Education and experience required to receive and maintain a license to practice as a Registered Nurse and registration as a Nurse Practitioner from the California Board of Registered Nursing. Physician's Assistant: Education and experience required to receive and maintain a license to practice as a Physician Assistant from the California Physician Assistant Board. Licenses and Certificates: Nurse Practitioner: Pursuant to Section 2835 of the California Business and Professions Code, possession of a license to practice as a Registered Nurse and registration as a Nurse Practitioner from the California Board of Registered Nursing is required at time of application and must be maintained throughout employment. Physician Assistant: Pursuant to Section 3503 of the California Business and Professions Code, possession of a license to practice as a Physician Assistant from the California Physician Assistant Board is required at time of application and must be maintained throughout employment.
