Russell Tobin's client, an online food delivery company, is hiring an In-Person Sales Development Representative at South Texas (McAllen, Harlingen, Edinburgh, Brownsville, Pharr/ Weslaco)

Employment Type: Contract

Location: South Texas (McAllen, Harlingen, Edinburgh, Brownsville, Pharr/ Weslaco) Need to travel between these locations (Milage reimbursement for travel- 65 mile radius)

Duration: 3+ months with possible extension or conversion

Pay range: $20/hr - $22/hr

General Function:

As an In-Person Sales Development Representative (SDR ) , you will be responsible for building relationships with restaurant owners, understanding their business needs, and initiating the partnership process. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to gather key insights, and a proactive approach to engaging potential partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. In-Person Visits (60%)
  • Conduct on-site visits to prospective restaurant partners within the assigned territory.
  • Initiate conversations, build relationships, and establish trust with restaurant owners.
  • Gather insights on restaurant ownership, operations, and third-party delivery usage.
  • Identify and document any objections or concerns preventing partnerships.
  • Travel up to 60-80 miles within the assigned region, with overnight stays as needed.
  1. Meeting Setup (20%)
  • Engage with restaurant owners to schedule follow-up meetings with sales representatives.
  • Generate interest in the company’s services by highlighting partnership benefits.
  • Build excitement and educate restaurant owners on potential collaboration opportunities.
  1. Information Gathering and Reporting (10%)
  • Collect and document business details such as ownership structure, delivery requirements, and competitor partnerships.
  • Accurately log findings into the CRM system to support data-driven sales strategies.
  1. Follow-Up and Administrative Work (10%)
  • Conduct follow-up calls or emails to confirm meetings and nurture leads.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to share insights and refine outreach strategies.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a travel-heavy schedule.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
