Job Description

A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is needed for a contract position in a K-12 school setting located in Joliet, IL. This role supports students and staff by providing essential healthcare services within the school environment throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic nursing duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with health screenings, and providing first aid care.
• Support students with medical needs and assist with medication administration under supervision.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school nurses and staff.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following established protocols and guidelines.
• Assist in managing emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Valid CNA certification and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Previous experience working as a CNA, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and school personnel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Patience, compassion, and a professional demeanor.
