Job Description
A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is needed for a contract position in a K-12 school setting located in Joliet, IL. This role supports students and staff by providing essential healthcare services within the school environment throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic nursing duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with health screenings, and providing first aid care.
- Support students with medical needs and assist with medication administration under supervision.
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school nurses and staff.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following established protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in managing emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Valid CNA certification and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience working as a CNA, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and school personnel.
