What Will You Be Doing? An experienced accountant performing assigned month-end accounting functions at an advanced level, quarterly-reviews, year-end audit requests, and special projects. Specifically, this role will focus on inflight and flight operations. The Senior Corporate Accountant will work heavily with all departments on expense activities throughout the Company. Essential Functions Prepare journal entries for month-end closing. Prepare and analyze monthly general ledger account reconciliations. Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement analytics. Document accounting processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Other Functions Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit requests. Special projects/continual process improvement Completion of technical accounting memos for routine or non-routine transactions as needed Qualifications 2-4 years of applicable previous accounting experience BS in Accounting MS in Accounting or MBA preferred Certified Public Accountant, preferred Month-end close experience “Big 4” experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills Ability to work well with other team members and other departments Strong organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines Ability to work with strict confidentiality Equipment Operated Standard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printer Work Environment Typical office environment adequately heated and cooled. Flexibility to work from home during COVID-19 pandemic. Physical Effort Generally, not required.
