With decades of experience in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering fashion-forward clothing that delights customers and inspires confidence. We are expanding our reach and launching a new Juniors line focused on casual and daywear dresses—and we’re seeking a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to lead this exciting new category. Position Summary We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer for our Juniors brand, Dear Moon, specializing in casual and day dresses to conceptualize, develop, and execute seasonal collections that align with current trends, customer preferences, and the Rare Editions brand identity. This is an opportunity to build a line from the ground up and bring a fresh point of view to the growing Juniors market. Key Responsibilities Design original casual and daytime dress collections for Juniors (teens/young women), focusing on wearable, trend-driven silhouettes and prints Research market trends, fabrics, colors, and competitors to inform designs and maintain relevancy in a fast-paced industry Create detailed tech packs, sketches, CADs, and colorways for each style Source fabrics, trims, and materials suitable for mass-market juniors fashion Collaborate with the production, merchandising, and sales teams to ensure designs meet pricing, quality, and delivery goals Attend fittings and work with technical designers to ensure perfect fit and construction Present concepts and seasonal lines to senior management and retail partners Monitor sales performance and make design adjustments based on feedback and trend evolution Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field 5+ years of experience designing for the Juniors market, with a focus on dresses preferred Strong sketching, CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite skills (especially Illustrator and Photoshop) In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fabric selection, and fit Excellent trend forecasting and market research ability Strong organizational and time management skills Experience working with overseas factories and knowledge of the product development cycle Highly creative with a commercial mindset and an eye for detail Preferred Experience Knowledge of mass-market retail and department store requirements Familiarity with PLM systems and digital spec tools Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven fashion environment What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package, $90k - $120k BoE Excellent Healthcare & Dental plans FSA, DCA, & Transit Checks 401k Life Insurance Free access to full service gym in building with showers, locker room, and towel service.
