Our challenge

As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using Java at the back end and Angular at the front end. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless user experiences and ensure the delivery of quality software solutions.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110K - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java (Spring, Spring Boot) for the back end and Angular for the front end.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement responsive web designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility for a smooth user experience.
  • Develop and expose RESTful APIs to enable communication between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability through effective code practices and architectural design.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of best practices within the team.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications, addressing any issues that arise to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in full-stack development to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and full-stack development.
  • Proficient in Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
  • Extensive experience with Angular, including knowledge of its ecosystem (RxJS, Angular Material, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and proficiency in SQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience mentoring junior developers.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and tools.
