As the Senior Merchant, Marketplace Performance Authenticators Apparel , you will take charge of a growing and profitable segment of our business. Your role involves managing a diverse portfolio for essential growth accounts within our Sport Authenticators channel, such as Scheels, Academy, Running Specialty, and Soccer Specialty. You will be tasked with crafting and offering consumer-focused assortments of both Performance and Lifestyle products across various Fields of Play and for a range of consumers. Success in this position depends on your ability to collaborate with key cross-functional partners (Planning, Consumer Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales) to create a tailored merchandising strategy that resonates with our key accounts. In this role, your strategic vision, strong communication skills, marketplace knowledge, and adaptability will empower you to create impactful results, drive healthy growth, and build meaningful relationships. Collaboration and Teamwork You will closely collaborate with fellow merchants and cross-functional teams within the Marketplace partner group, including Planning, Sales, and Brand Marketing, as well as the Sport Authenticators team. Additionally, you will engage with external partner buying and executive teams to align seasonal assortment visions. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Nike consumer and the marketplace landscape. You'll need strong retail acumen, analytical skills, and familiarity with diverse retail environments. Working autonomously and being solution-oriented is vital as you lead the consumer product offering across various merchandising dimensions. Your influence will guide the product assortment for our Marketplace partners, with a keen focus on long-term strategies and innovative franchises. Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. 4+ years of experience in Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising, product creation, and/or retail within a vertical, multi-brand, or digital environment. Strong understanding of retail and/or digital metrics such as sell-through, margin, full-price realization, and weeks of supply. Proven ability to transform consumer, sales, trend, and marketplace insights into breakthrough strategies. Experience preparing seasonal tools to equip partners with an understanding of seasonal priorities. A track record of developing strong, collaborative relationships with team members and cross-functional partners. A positive team player with a thirst for knowledge and learning. Excellent communication skills with a focus on influencing within a cross-functional matrix. Attention to detail and a commitment to consistency in execution. Your Responsibilities You will design and implement consumer-centric assortment plans while maintaining awareness of the broader marketplace to meet the specific needs of our target consumers. Your contributions will influence future season planning, working closely with Consumer Merchandising and gathering insights from market trends and consumer feedback. Key Accountabilities include: Developing seasonal integration strategies in collaboration with Marketing, Partner Group, and Consumer Merch. Ensuring a smooth, premium consumer journey across all retail formats. Collaborating with Consumer Merch and the Integrated account team to align assortment strategy with consumer demand. Key Deliverables include: Defining seasonal assortment strategies that align with consumer objectives and market trends. Coordinating with Marketing to ensure product launches and curated offerings align with key consumer events.
