WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Product Merchant to join the Global Chuck team. An ideal Senior Product Merchant is a collaborative teammate with the well-rounded skillset to solve both creative and analytical problems. You will need strong attention to detail, a drive to craft outstanding products, and the ability to learn, adapt, and lead quickly. A passion for serving our consumers is required. We are looking for someone who can partner effectively with diverse teams around the globe and across the Converse organization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Chuck team manages our brand’s Icon across Chuck 70, Chuck Classic, and Street franchises. This role will lead and own all aspects of the Women’s Chuck product creation process, obsessing over the needs of consumers and creators. As part of Inline Footwear team, this role requires creating fresh product that is wearable, commercial, and profitable. Read: cool sneakers that sell. With the Chuck team, you will work collaboratively across the Product Triad with Design and Development, and across the gender teams with Women’s and Kids to ensure alignment. You will also work cross-functionally with merchandising and marketplace planning on the footwear creation process from line planning through final product approval. You will research our product, consumer, and marketplace, manage product creation workflow and data, maintain product tools, and effectively collaborate across functional partners. You will deliver on critical dates and hold yourself accountable to be a great teammate.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work closely with your product management cross-gender teammates and global merchandising, design, development, marketplace planning, and marketing teams to manage the product creation and advise our go-to-market process.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' relevant experience in Footwear Product Merchandising roles
  • Deep passion for footwear, Women’s fashion, and Women’s consumer
  • Knowledge of marketplace landscape
  • Experience translating a footwear vision into a multi-year line plan
  • Influencing skills. Ability to drive vision and strategy across functions while respecting the balance of competing interests.
  • Strategically minded
  • Ability to read and react to retail data
  • Keynote presentation building and presenting along with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in roles with versatile workload spanning consumer insights, range plan, data management, and systems (such as FlexPLM and Vibe)
  • Relationship management
  • Strong understanding of streetwear consumers (tastes, habits, preferences, interests & behaviors)
