JOB OVERVIEW

Front-End Web Developer with Shopify experience.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and optimizing eCommerce websites and will thrive in a dynamic, startup environment as an independent contributor. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Director of CRO, Digital Merchandising, Design, and UX/UI, to bring cutting-edge digital experiences to life. Experience with page-building applications such as Replo or Shogun is a plus. Additionally, you will have the ability to assist with A/B testing initiatives and leverage analytics to inform data-driven design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize front-end experiences for Shopify-based eCommerce websites, ensuring responsive and high-performance design across all devices.
• Collaborate with the Director of CRO and other stakeholders to enhance the customer journey, improve conversion rates, and help launch A/B tests, using analytics to gather insights and inform optimizations.
• Work with Digital Merchandising and UX/UI teams to execute visually compelling, conversion-optimized web pages.
• Integrate custom code within Shopify themes while maintaining best practices in web performance, SEO, and accessibility.
• Manage and execute updates, changes, and new feature rollouts using Shopify's theme development environment.
• Utilize page-building applications such as Replo or Shogun to design, develop, and launch high-quality landing pages.
• Troubleshoot issues with site functionality and implement effective, long-term solutions.
• Partner with the Design team to translate visual concepts into functional and responsive front-end interfaces.
• Leverage web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics) to inform development decisions and ensure continuous improvement based on performance data.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Shopify and front-end development.

• Comfortable with a fast-paced, agile work environment.

Qualifications

• Front-end development experience, specifically working within Shopify.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining Shopify websites, including theme customization, Liquid templating, and integrating Shopify Apps.
• Familiarity with Replo, Shogun, or other page-building tools for Shopify.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery or other relevant frameworks), and responsive design techniques.
• Experience collaborating with design and UX/UI teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
• Strong understanding of web analytics, with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and Google Tag Manager to guide design and development decisions.
• Experience assisting in the launch of A/B tests and interpreting the results to optimize conversion and user experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to debugging and performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional partners.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, agile work environment.
