Location: Remote (need to be local to the Boston area)

Job Description:

Our client located in the Boston, MA has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity. The Senior Software Engineer would have to come onsite to visit the lab in Boston to understand the workflow and support it once a month (maximum).

Responsibilities

• Support multiple projects in all development roles, mentor more junior staff, and apply technology expertise
• Manage an entire project in respective area and possess a technical competency within their area (i.e. applications development)
• Must have the ability to negotiate the products and deliverables of a project
• Prioritize the tasks of a project’s time-line to achieve the desired departmental and end-user requirements
• Share expertise for the good of the organization by mentoring, coaching and giving general direction to other teammates.

Required

• Bachelors degree required, MS preferred computer science and/or the life sciences
• 5+ years relevant experience
• Must have .NET, C# , Microsoft Sql proficiency
• Nice to have Java and Python
• Back end and API development using NodeJS, C#, Java, R, Perl
• Python (not required but preferred)
• SQL proficiency using MySQL and/or SqlServer
• Web development using Angular 6+, Python Flask (ASP.NET would be a plus)
• Familiarity SDLC principles
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
• Some healthcare experience would be a plus
