Aerospace TIG Welder

• $35-$45/hr + 10% shift pay differential

Details:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to perform TIG/Helium welding on aluminum using DC current and helium shielding gas in an aerospace environment. This role requires proficiency in performing welds in 1G, 2G, and 3G positions and involves the use of overhead cranes to lift and position large components. Candidates must be able to pass X-ray weld inspection tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum using DC current and helium shielding gas.
• Execute welds in 1G, 2G, and 3G positions with precision.
• Utilize overhead cranes for lifting and positioning large components.
• Ensure all welds meet the stringent quality standards required in an aerospace environment.
• Pass X-ray weld inspection tests to ensure the integrity of welds.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in heliarc and TIG welding techniques.
• Strong proficiency in helium
• Experience with DC current welding.
• Capability in aluminum welding.
• 5+ years of experience in class A aerospace welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in an aerospace environment.
• Knowledge of VPPAW (Variable Polarity Plasma Arc Welding) is a plus.
• Ability to complete a 1-hour weld test to produce the best weld specimen.

The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $104000.00/yr.
