Job Description

Our client is seeking a Shopify Developer to redesign, manage, and improve upon the third iteration of their US & Global e-commerce store. In this role, you will work in partnership with the VP of Global DTC and the Head of Creative to design a new consumer experience from the ground up for a luxury e-commerce brand. As a team of 1, you will help develop the strategy, distilled from data, with leadership to make key recommendations that drive the DTC business globally.

The ideal candidate is an expert with Shopify Liquid, has luxury DTC e-commerce Shopify experience, a demonstrated ability to utilize data to drive conversion, optimize Shopify stores for performance addressing issues including speed, a deep knowledge of A/B Testing and a firm grasp of UX & UI design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Customize Shopify Stores: Build and configure the third iteration of this brand’s US and Global Shopify stores
• Customize Shopify themes and templates to achieve unique brand experiences and functionalities
• Develop new features, pages, and user experiences for US and international Shopify stores in multiple languages
• Conversion Rate Optimization: Make key recommendations on site improvements that address how and why consumers are not purchasing, and independently conduct A/B testing.
• Collaborate closely with global distributors to manage the changes, updates, and improvements each distributor needs. This person will create the process and manage the workflow, prioritize and track the requests autonomously across 25 global markets.
• App Integrations and Enhancements: Integrate and configure Shopify apps to enhance store capabilities and user experience.
• Optimize Performance and SEO: Ensure all stores are optimized for performance (including speed), mobile responsiveness, and search engine visibility.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Diagnose and resolve issues with Shopify configurations, apps, and custom code across global sites.
• Platform Innovation: Keep up-to-date on Shopify updates, industry trends, and platform improvements to implement new features and enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Shopify development experience, with a portfolio of successful Shopify projects.
• DTC e-commerce Shopify custom store design experience, ideally in the luxury category.
• Portfolio that demonstrates the ability to design, optimize, and increase site performance of a custom Shopify store experience
• Optimization Skills: Background in improving e-commerce site performance including issues such as speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
• Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of SEO best practices and ADA compliance.
• Problem Solving and Collaboration: Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Technical Expertise:

• High Proficiency in Shopify Liquid template language for theme customization.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience working with Shopify APIs, app development, and third-party integrations.
• Skilled with version control (e.g., GitHub) for collaborative development.
