Job Description :
Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to work onsite in Wrenfield, PA . This position involves providing sign language interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they can access and participate in all educational activities.

The role is expected to begin ASAP and will continue through the end of the school year, with the potential for extension. You will work directly with students, teachers, and school staff to ensure effective munication and a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide sign language interpretation for students in a classroom setting, including lessons, activities, and extracurricular events.

• Facilitate munication between students, teachers, and peers.

• Support students in their educational and social interactions throughout the school day.

• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure students' needs are met.

• Maintain professional standards and confidentiality when interacting with students and staff.

Requirements :

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

• Must hold one of the following certifications :

• NIC (National Interpreter Certification) specifically in ASL

• EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) with a score above 3.5

• RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) certification

• Experience interpreting in educational settings (preferred but not required)

• Strong munication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse groups

• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a school environment

• PA state certification (if applicable)
