Job Description
A growing electronics manufacturer is seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join their second-shift team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and a solid understanding of SMT processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.
Hours: The role is for 2nd shift
Mon-Thurs 3:30 PM-2:00 AM with OT available on the weekend
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, set up, and perform minor troubleshooting on SMT equipment
Carry out SMT production tasks such as component placement, soldering, and inspection.
Follow production guidelines to ensure high-quality output.
Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in line with 5S standards.
Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and productivity.
Comply with all safety protocols and workplace procedures.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience operating SMT machinery
Strong knowledge of SMT processes, including inspection and soldering.
Comfortable working in a high-paced, quality-driven manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing production lines.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to process standards.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or related education a plus.
Must be proficient in reading and writing English.
Must pass a standard medical examination as required.
Additional Information:
Candidates may rotate between different production lines but will perform similar tasks.
Prior machine operator experience is a strong indicator of success in this role.
This is a dedicated second-shift position – candidates must be available for the listed hours and cannot transfer to first shift.
Salary Range: $21.00-24.00/HR
