SMT Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled SMT Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surface mount technology and the ability to work with various electronic components. The SMT Operator will work closely with engineering and production teams to meet production goals while adhering to industry standards.

LOCATION: Longmont, CO

JOBTYPE: Fulltime, Temp to Hire, M-F day shift

SALARY: $20-$24 Per hour depending on experience.

Day to Day:

• Operate and maintain SMT equipment for the assembly of electronic components on PCBs.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
• Perform soldering tasks with precision, following standards for quality assurance.
• Conduct electrical wiring tasks, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
• Utilize logic controllers to monitor and control the assembly process.
• Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Use tools such as an Ohmmeter for testing electrical connections and component functionality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues that may arise during the production process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.

Background Experience:

• Proven experience in surface mount technology (SMT) operations is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex electrical systems. 2-5 years of experience.
• Familiarity with electronic assembly
• Familiarity with pick and place machines
• AOI experience is a plus
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation effectively.
• Proficiency in soldering techniques and electrical wiring practices.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output in all tasks performed.
• MyData experience very helpful
